Roadmap for developing Core Outcome Sets (COS)

The HOME initiative has published a methodological framework to use when developing and implementing a Core Outcome Set (COS).

The paper covers the entire process of COS development, starting with defining the scope and setting of the COS, determining the core domains to be measured such as symptoms or quality of life, the identification/development and assessment of the measurement properties of potential outcome measurement instruments for the core domains, recommending core outcome instruments, and finally dissemination and implementation.

Listen to Professor Hywel Williams discuss the HOME roadmap with fellow dermatologist Dr. Robert Dellavalle.
